HuffIt

HuffIt was an experimental social news reader for lefty news junkies designed for the Huffington Post and built by Apperceptive on top of Movable Type Enterprise and a suite of custom plugins. Inspired by Digg and Google Reader, the minimal design, interactivity and registration flow matched the style and branding of the mothership Huffington Post website that regular readers were used to. Readers could view the most Huffed news, as well as choose to follow their favorite blog and topic feeds. The experiment ran for a year in 2007.
