Stephens, Catherwood, and Katz
A three-color risograph poster mapping the historic routes of two 1840's expeditions to the Maya region by archeologist John Stephens and artist Frederick Catherwood, overlaid with sites visited by Leandro Katz, who revisited and rephotographed the sites from 1985 to 1993.
The map was produced in collaboration with Lize Mogel for Viewing Room, a program organized by Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and featuring The Catherwood Project (1985-1993) by Leandro Katz, presented on September 8, 2016 at Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York City.
